Please note - The Little SLPea does not accept insurance. We are able to provide a superbill to submit to insurance for reimbursement for out-of-network services. Please check with your insurance company to find out more information about your out-of-network benefits and if you are eligible for reimbursement.
Consultations
Our consultation service is designed to help parents make informed decisions about their child's healthcare. We offer a complimentary 30-minute phone call to discuss your child's strengths and needs, and provide recommendations on the appropriate course of action. Whether you need further evaluation or a referral, we are here to support you and your child.
Individual Treatment sessions
Following the initial evaluation, a treatment plan is developed which will include goals, and recommendations for services if deemed appropriate (e.g. session length as well as frequency). Therapy sessions are thoughtfully planned by your therapist to be engaging and fun while working on areas of potential growth.
Teletherapy options are available for residents within the state of Maryland.

Evaluations
Evaluations are essential for your child's therapy journey, as they provide your child’s therapist with vital information about your child’s strengths and needs. An evaluation is required if one has not been completed within the past year.
A comprehensive language evaluation may include parent/caregiver interviews, observation, play, and interaction with your child to understand how they communicate. The evaluation will analyze your child's language, articulation, social pragmatics, and play skills in relation to norms for their age group.
Evaluation sessions typically last 1 -2 hours and you will be provided with a detailed evaluation report within 30 days of completion.

Caregiver Training
At The Little SLPea, we know that caregivers play a crucial role in the development of children. That’s why we offer caregiver training to provide families with the support they need at home. Our coaching sessions, led by Chelsea, draw from her expertise in communication, play, and social skills to help families facilitate growth and progress in their child’s development.
